The students and I will create a feedback rubric with a checklist of the components that we feel are important. After brainstorming with Nena, we both agree that trying to have students post their work is next to impossible. I have some ideas of where I want to go with this stage, but it still needs development. I anticipate that this will probably be a lengthy project with all the writing, learning to use a laptop, creating pictures, narrating, giving feedback and allowing time for edits. I am guessing that this could require anywhere from 15 to 25 one hour sessions--but the truth of the matter is I have NO idea.
This project spans over several standards:
LA-Reading St. 2 /3- Comprehension/Literary response- following written directions
Writing Standards - Strategies, Applications, and Conventions - will be covered
Listening and Speaking Standards
ISTE: St. 4 - Plan and manage activities to develop a complete project
1. Creativity & innovation
2. Communication

Clarisse, that's a lovely idea. This will create a digital 'heirloom' for your kids. Recipes are always a creative way to make fractions realistic and practical.
